We accept patients of all ages. At Vision Health, we believe that pediatric exams should be catered to each individual child. Our doctors have the knowledge and tools to skillfully adjust an exam based on how a child reacts to different methods of visual system and ocular health assessments.
The American Optometric Association recommends that a child's first eye exam occur between the ages of 6 months to 1 year. The next exams should be at age 2, before entering kindergarten, and annually thereafter— unless we see a need for more frequent intervals. These exams are crucial to detecting problems with a child’s vision that could potentially limit their vision for the rest of their lives.
If you would like to schedule an exam for your child, please give us a call or use our online scheduling system.
