Dr. Gandhi was born and raised in India until she was a teenager, when she relocated with her family to Calgary, Canada. She completed her middle school, high school and post-secondary education there, graduating from the University of Calgary with a major in Biological Sciences. During her undergraduate education, she worked as a technician at an optometry practice – which sparked her interest in the field.
She then moved to Philadelphia to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, obtaining her degree in Doctor of Optometry with the graduating Class of 2024. Her professional training included exposure to low vision rehabilitation services at the Louis Stokes VAMC in Cleveland; specialty contact lenses and myopia management at a private practice near Washington D.C; primary care management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and AMD at The Eye Institute at Salus University in Philadelphia, and co-management of cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgery post-ops at Omni Eye Services of New Jersey.
As she joins the team of Vision Health, she is excited to build good working relations with her patients and hone her skills further by providing services in primary care optometry, dry eye care, specialty contact lenses and myopia management.
After spending 4 years on the east coast, Dr. Gandhi is excited to relocate to the South Sound and explore all that the PNW has to offer! She hopes to devote more time to some of her hobbies - including painting, skiing and reading - she is always looking for new book recommendations!
