Dr. Samantha Hamblet,
Samantha, “Sam”, is a longtime Olympia resident having grown up here and graduated from Capital High School. Dr. Hamblet joined Vision Health in 2010 after being away from Olympia for college and Optometry school. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Anthropology at Western Washington University and ventured down to southern California for her Optometric degree. She attended Southern California College of Optometry and graduated in 2008. While in school Dr. Hamblet received honors in primary care, as well as completing rotations with the Navy at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and Pearl Harbor.
Dr. Hamblet has a special interest in Pediatric vision and enjoys seeing kids from 1 week to 18 years old! She also likes the challenge of contact lenses and would love to talk to any of our patients about the type of contact lenses to fit their lifestyle.
Dr. Hamblet is married to a fellow Olympian, Reid Hamblet, and they have one daughter Locy, and three sons, Wiley, Truett and Ford. In her spare time she enjoys playing with her children, working on her home and spending time outdoors. She is involved with numerous charitable endeavors including Co-chair of the Olympia Union Gospel Mission Eye Clinic, being a member of Capitol City Lions Club and a leader with Young Life youth outreach.
